What does the dark side of management look like?

All professions have “bad apples.” You hear it all the time from a “horrible doctor” to a “lousy engineer.” On the management dark side, the descriptors include a “bad, psycho, stupid or idiot” boss. The bottom line is that some in management have no place to be in that role while causing irreparable harm to employees and destroying the fabric of trust that builds commitment to company goals. So, how do you survive the dark side of management?
