The success or failure of a manager is whether someone exceeds expectations while solving problems. You know you are in trouble if a peer manager is asked to “help” in solving a problem in your area. The message is you don’t seem to see what is the Alignment Problem. So, if an objective does not align to the systems/procedures and incentives, what do you do next?
